British Columbia took a significant step on January 31st, 2023, by decriminalizing the possession of limited quantities of specific drugs. While the province's three-year pilot initiative received criticism for being a "half measure," it also garnered praise as an essential initial stride. In the above video, Lien Yeung of CBC sought the opinions of drug users in Vancouver's downtown eastside to capture their responses to the implemented alterations.
